This calculator helps you determine the area of various spaces, including:
- Buildings: Calculate the square footage of your house, garage, or shed.
- Home improvement: Measure rooms for flooring, carpeting, or tiling projects.
- Gardens and landscaping: Find the square footage of your lawn, flower beds, or patio.
- Construction: Determine the area of a building site or project area.
To find the square footage of a large room split in two, like the one depicted above, measure each area separately.
This type of room has a notch, which is easily worked out to measure each area when viewed as two rooms.
This type of area is a bit more of a challenge that can be overcome by measuring a box area than the triangle last.
